TARGETED RESOURCES FOR PROFESSIONALS
The BRYCS Clearinghouse
serves a number of audiences - practitioners, researchers
and policymakers, refugee educators, program managers/administrators
and refugees. We have created annotated bibliographies for
each for these groups in order to help you quickly and easily
retrieve the most pertinent information. The bibliographies
consist of a list of resources, a description of the resource
(abstract) and information on its availability. Links to the
full text of a resource are provided, when available. In some
cases, descriptions of programs are also included in the bibliographies.
This is an ongoing project so check back periodically to see
what topics have been added. We welcome your
suggestions for additional topics.
EDUCATORS
AND PARENTS
Professionals who use or develop instructional materials meant
to be used directly by refugees are included in this
category. The materials may be the actual instructional
materials, a prototype used with a non-refugee population
with limited language skills that can be adapted to the refugee
population, or information on how to develop such materials.
This category also includes resources for refugee parents.
MULTILINGUAL RESOURCES
Resources available
in the BRYCS Clearinghouse are always available in English,
however, some resources are also available in other languages.
When available in full text in the BRYCS Clearinghouse, a
link will indicate the language of the resource. The "BRYCS
Full Text" button links to the full text in English.
PRACTITIONERS
This category includes direct service providers such as child
welfare workers, health care workers, social services staff,
and counselors, as well as refugee resettlement workers who
serve refugees exclusively.
PROGRAM
MANAGERS/ADMINISTRATORS
Professionals concerned with program development, including
fundraising, needs/assets assessment, program design, program
evaluation, and program improvement will find useful resources
in this category.
